Abstract

This thesis discusses the functions of linguistic units in language and speech. Linguistic units describe with phonemes, morphemes and syllables and the author's commentary on the opinions of linguists on this matter is given. It is claimed that a language is a very complex system, consisting of a set of small and large characters.
