Abstract

The article describes the extraction of silicon by alumothermic method. Alumothermic method used sand, aluminum metal powder, sulfur powder. Magnesium powder and tape were used to speed up the reaction. As a result of the reaction, silicon was obtained with 85% yield and its purity was checked by physicochemical methods
